DESIGN小石川は、2017年1月15日（日）まで開催中のMichael Marriott／石巻工房による展覧会「ON TOYOTA」の会期終了に伴い、2017年1月13日（金）に「ON TOYOTA」出展作品のオークションを開催します。
140×18mmの杉材とビスのみを使用したシンプルな新作の家具・プロダクトの1点1点に、ユーザーへのきめ細やかな配慮から生まれたアイデアが凝縮されています。

オークション開始価格は、上記URLの表示価格の1/4となります。
オークション終了後、20:30より、同ビル4階シェアオフィス「ハーフハーフ」にて、長岡勉氏が主催する新年会も開催。

Michael Marriott（マイケル・マリオット）
ロンドン生まれ。家具デザインの教育を受けた後、1993年からロンドンを拠点にデザイナーとしての活動を始める。その活動領域は展示、プロダクト、インテリアに至るまで多岐に渡り、緻密なディティールと高い機能性、鋭いセンスと無駄のないデザインで知られている。

ON TOYOTA Auction
Coinciding with the end of the ON TOYOTA / Michael Marriott installation, DESIGN KOISHIKAWA invites you to a special auction where you can bid on the limited-edition furniture created for this exhibition.
The auction will be on Friday, Jan 13rd,2017. Also, DESIGN KOISHIKAWA will be until Jan 15th, 2017.
Collaborating with Ishinomaki Laboratory, which also shares a similar design process, all the pieces were built using only 140×18mm sized planks of Japanese cedar and screws. Made full of ideas and consideration for user.

About Michael Marriott
Born and based in London, Michael Marriott has been working as a designer since 1993.
Trained as a furniture designer, which still forms the core of his practice,
Michael has expanded to incorporate regular exhibition, product and interior design projects.
In all his varied practice there is a common core though, which is a search for the elemental nature of the thing in hand.
He is known for making supremely well detailed and highly functional objects, renowned for their keen and economical grace.
